Horses are a symbol of northern nomad's spirit, Tu says. |
"Horses are the best company for the northern nomad. They have blended in people's lives and participated in many activities, such as hunting, immigrating, grazing and wars," Tu said.
Tu said horses are never the same. They have multiple states and are able to give artists different experiences and inspirations.
When horses are running in crowds, they make people feel the massive energy inside them.
"Even the earth is shaking at that moment. Isn't that amazing?" he said.
Horses can also be quiet and offer people a feeling of peacefulness as well, Tu added.
"When seeing several horses grazing on the grassland, I feel calm and harmonious. I could sit there and watch all day long."
"All those moments are precious. I just can't help myself to take out the camera and shoot the beautiful scenery in front of me."
Tu is now a member of the Chinese Photographers Association. His photography has been published in such newspapers as People's Daily and Guangming Daily.
"Both calligraphy and photography are my favorite," Tu said. "And I will try my best to compose more good works in both occupations."
