The Temple of Heaven

The Temple of the Happy Year is one of the buildings in the Temple of Heaven. Adjoining it is the Altar of Heaven. The gilded ball surmounting the Temple of Heaven is 100 feet above the beautiful triple-terraced marble platform. The Temple of Heaven is used to offer supplications to heaven for a blessing upon the New Year.
