Time-travel TV series "Bu Bu Jing Xin," or "Startling by Each Step," began broadcasting on TV on September 10, 2011. Ratings of the show rose to nearly 7 percent in the first two days. The show has been searched on the Internet more than one million times in the first three days and the number is still increasing. Most of the audience gave the show high marks.
"Starling by Each Step" was adapted from a hot online novel written by Internet writer Tong Hua. It tells a story of a girl who goes back to the Qing Dynasty. With more than 100 million hits, the novel has a large amount of fans, sina.com.cn reported.
Time travel novels are very popular online among young women in recent years. Leading roles in the novels are always females, who go back to ancient time accidentally or to a different worlds that do not exist in history. Aside from good appearances, the characters are also clever and attract most men they meet. The attracted men are always rich, have good family backgrounds and love the woman forever. Some people say reading too much time-travel novels may lead to readers' unrealistic imaginations and difficulty living in the real world, while some say good time-travel novels can give readers a chance to know ancient literature and characters.
