The PLA Brass Band will hold a concert at the Forbidden City Concert Hall on Oct 1 to celebrate National Day.

Conducted by Zhang Haifeng, the band will perform a mixed program of both Chinese and foreign works including Storm by Li Tongshu, Symphony No 2 The Big Apple by Johan de Meij, and Ode to the Plateau by Shu Yonggang.

The band will also play a special work at the concert - Medley of Marches from the 60th National Day Parade, to recreate the feel of the big parade in 2009.
