Washington: Musical gift Li Hong, minister counselor for cultural aff airs at the Chinese embassy in the US, receives a CD from Joan Gregoryk, founder and director of the Children's Chorus of Washington, on Tuesday. The recording captures the group's spring concert of classical Chinese songs. Composed of students from over 100 schools in and around Washington, the children's choir is considered one of the best of its kind. Thornhill, Ontario: Panda pause Celebrating the arrival in Toronto of giant pandas Da Mao and Er Shun, Consul General Fang Li of the Consulate General of China in Toronto and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne will co-host a fundraising gala on August 3 at the Toronto Zoo.
