"I owe an apology to my motherland because I uttered the wrong words. I also owe an apology to my parents because I am still single."
Wu Hongfei, lead singer of the rock band Happy Avenue, told the Xiaoxiang Morning Post on Monday she had to write a letter of apology before she was released from 10 days in police custody. She was detained on July 23 after writing on her micro blog that she wanted to blow up a government housing commission office. Wu insisted it was a harmless joke.
