Afghanistan's Interior Ministry on Sunday strongly condemned the attack and expressed sympathy with the victims' families. "No doubt it is sad news for us. We condemn the gruesome incident in its strongest term," Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi told Xinhua on Sunday. He added that the police have initiated investigation into the case and will spare no efforts in bringing to justice those behind the heinous crime.
"Providing security to foreigners particularly to the Chinese people is very important for us and our police will spare no efforts in this regard," Sediqi stressed.
