"Many employees' children majored in animal husbandry or fisheries at college. Where can they land a job if we don't offer them one? Companies or other government departments won't offer them jobs, so why can't we take care of our own children?"
Li Wenjun, an official at the bureau of animal husbandry and fisheries in Changning, Hunan province, talking about an online post that accused the agency of preferring its own employees' children or relatives to fill staff vacancies. Thirty percent of its staff members are its employees' families, the post said.
