A clear and concise audit can reveal corruption quicker than almost anything else. Numbers do not lie.
Public participation is a key ingredient in fighting corruption and the public show every inclination to back the auditors in exposing graft.
The National People's Congress has made anti-corruption legislation a priority.
Thus the authorities should consider enacting and adjusting laws such as the Audit Law and Budget Law, which may further boost the credibility of the auditors in fighting corruption.
