A poll was launched recently to solicit public opinion about three draft plans for holiday arrangements in 2014.
Whichever plan wins, changes are needed to the existing chaotic holiday schedule and gauging public opinion is the best way to satisfy various demands, said an article in Beijing News (excerpts below).
A previous poll in October, on major news websites, about the arrangement of legal holidays, revealed a level of discontent over the present situation.
Many factors have to be taken into consideration in adjusting the framework for holidays.
It is necessary to solicit public opinion about different choices offered by each proposed plan.
It will not be an easy task to sort out the holiday schedule but the best way to achieve this is by asking the public for feedback.
