Chinese Taipei lifter wins gold at women's 58kg in World Championships

WROCLAW, Poland - Chinese Taipei lifter Kuo Hsing-Chun won the gold at the women's 58-kilogram category competition of the World Weightlifting Championships on Tuesday.
Kuo managed 108kg in the snatch, and then lifted 133kg in the clean and jerk to end the competition with a total of 241kg.
Escobar Guerrero of Ecuador finished second with 225kg, and the bronze medal went to Elena Shadrina of Russia who finished with a total of 218kg.
Chinese lifter Deng Wei cleared 108kg in snatch, but failed in all her three attempts to lift 133 in clean and jerk.
