Serena Williams named WTA Player Of Year

WASHINGTON - World No 1 female tennis player Serena Williams was named WTA Player Of The Year on Friday.
The 32-year-old star won 78 out of her 82 matches, getting 11 titles including the US Open and the French Open in the 2013 season.
She became the oldest world No 1 in WTA history.
It was the fifth time for Williams to be named the WTA Player Of The Year. She had received the honor in 2002, 2008, 2009 and 2012.
