BEIJING - Maria Sharapova beat Ana Ivanovic 6-0, 6-4 to move into the China Open final here on Saturday.
The fourth seed advanced in one hour and thirty minutes, and will face the third seed Petra Kvitova in the final, who defeated Samantha Stosur 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 earlier Saturday.
Sharapova and Kvitova have met 7 times before, and sharapova led by winning five times. They have met just once this year at Miami and Sharapova won by straight sets 7-5, 6-1.
Neither of them has won China Open title before. If Kvitova claims the title, she will climb to world number two, passing the WTA rising star Simona Halep.
