Two shot dead at southern Calif. high school

LOS ANGELES - Two people were shot to death at a high school in Reverside County, southern California Wednesday and the school was placed on lockdown, local media reported.

The shooting was reported at 10:40 am at Patriot High School in Jurupa Valley, where two people were shot to death in a parking lot. Deputies found a man and a women lying on the ground, and retrieved a gun from near the male victim.

The shooting prompted a lockdown on the campus.
