BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale jolted Scotia Sea at 5:04 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was at 60.3 degrees south latitude and 46.4 degrees west longitude, the center said in a statement.
