Swedish electronic DJ duo Cazzette is primed to light up Beijing during their first tour of China, with dance inducing beats and head scratching helmet ensembles.

Alexander Bjorklund and Sebastian Furrer will be performing their first set at Le Nest club, Beijing Workers Stadium, on Saturday.

Having only been around the club scene since 2011 as a duo, Bjorklund and Furrer formed Cazzette after meeting Ash Pournouri of At Night Management.

Wanting to start something "fresh", the duo brainstormed with Pournouri and came up with the idea for Cazzette.

Bjorklund says the name, Cazzette, came about as a homage to the mix tapes of yesteryear where various music tracks were mixed and matched onto old analog tape tracks.

"Ash came up with the name and we liked the vibe that it gave us," said Bjorklund. "It's an homage to old mix tapes that you used to do on cassette tapes, and it fits because that's our style - totally mixed up."

Bjorklund describes the duo's sound as a mix of dubstep and house music, both forms of electronic dance music.

"Our music is a blend of different genres, we call it `dub house'," said Bjorklund. "At the time we hadn't heard of anyone else with a similar sound so we thought, why not create something new?"

"We're constantly trying to evolve our sound and to create new sound."

Drawing inspiration from everywhere, Bjorklund says the duo, plus executive producer Pournouri, listen to all types of music including music by other DJs, such as Daft Punk.

The duo sometimes wear huge cassette tape helmets during their sets.

"(The Hemlets) are inspired by the masters, Daft Punk, of course, and is a small addition to the production element of our performance," said Bjorklund. "They're not heavy but we admit they can be tricky to wear from time to time."

The most popular hits on YouTube by Cazzette includes Adele's Set Fire to Rain.

Cazzette promises to bring something "extra" for their audience in China.

Despite never having set foot in China before, they are confident that their music will transcend countries.
