Haan to take helm of China's soccer club

SHENYANG - Former Chinese national soccer team head coach Arie Haan is going to take over China's first division club Shenyang Shenbei, the club announced here on Sunday.

The 63-year-old Dutchman, who coached the Chinese team from 2002 to 2004, will be officially named as the head coach of Shenyang Shenbei and the general director of the club's youth program, said the club's general manager Tang Hong. Haan had super league coaching experience with Chongqing Lifan and Tianjin Teda.
