Dortmund crushes Kaiserslautern

BERLIN - Dortmund extended their unbeaten run to 27 matches following a hammering 5-2 win over relegated team Kaiserslautern in the 33rd round of Bundesliga on Saturday.
Newly crowned Bundesliga champion "BVB" earned the first away win at Fritz Walter Stadium in 11 years owing to a hat-trick by striker Lucas Barrios.
Dortmund defender Felipe Santana opened the scoring for the hosts when he inadvertently deflected a diagonal pass into his own goal at the sixteenth minute.
Kaiserslautern's joy was short lived as Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios leveled the score as he headed home a cross by defender Patrick Owomoyela.
Dortmund's equalizer took the wind out of the relegated host thus Barrios extended the lead to 2-1 when he again found the back of the net in the 26th minute. Dortmund pressed Kaiserslautern into defence so that youngster midfielder Mario Goetze was able to mark the 3-1 lead before break.
Four minutes into the second half, Kaiserslautern midfielder Pierre de Wit shortened the score to 2-3 but clinical Dortmund had not enough as Barrios wrapped his hat-trick in the 55th minute and Perisic completed the rout with a 78th-minute goal.
Dortmund sits uncatchable on top position with 78 points while Kaiserslautern will be degraded into second division with 23 points out of 33 matches.
Champions League finalist and German record champion Bayern Munich wrapped a 2-0 win against Stuttgart. Ineffective Stuttgart failed to utilize their chances against callous Bayern that sealed their 22 win of the season at outsold Allianz Arena.
Bayern striker Mario Gomez marked his 26th goal of the season when he exploited an assist by Thomas Mueller. Just before final whistle Bayern midfielder Mueller doubled the lead following a counter.
The Bavarians stay uncatchable on second position with 70 points while Stuttgart slips from 5th to 6th position with 50 points.
Schalke 04 celebrated a 4-0 goal festival against relegation threatened Berlin on home soil at outsold Veltins Arena. Schalke striker and Dutchmen Klaas Jan Huntelaar opened the scoring with a well-placed shot from 13 meters at the thirty-second minute.
After interval, the "Knappen" kept things firmly in their hands against harmless Berlin thus Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby, striker Raul Gonzales Blanco and striker mate Huntelaar seal the 4-0 win.
Dutchmen Klaas Jan Huntelaar ousts Bayern striker Mario Gomez from top position of the goal getter standings with his brace having twenty-seven goals.
Schalke occupies third position with 61 points to seal a direct Champions League berth. Relegation threatened Berlin sits on 17th position and has a two-point gap to a relegation play-off spot.
Elsewhere, Leverkusen edged Hannover 1-0 owing to the winner by striker Stefan Kieling, Monchengladbach shared points with Augsburg following a goalless draw, Wolfsburg striker and German international Patrick Helmes scored a brace to wrap a 3-1 win over Bremen, Hoffenheim lost 2-3 to Nuremberg, Freiburg flabbergasted relegation threatened Cologne 4-1 and Hamburg ties with Mainz 0-0.
