Katie Taylor (boxing)
Women's boxing makes its Olympic debut in London and Ireland's Katie Taylor will get the chance to add to her already groaning trophy cabinet in the ExCel Center.
A three-times world and five-times European champion already, she has also represented Ireland in soccer and is rightly regarded as one of the Emerald Isle's greatest sportswmomen.
A devout Christian, she has become something of a celebrity, meeting US president Barack Obama at the White House, starring in a rap video with Tinie Tempah and was last year's Grand Marshal at Dublin's St Patrick's Day parade.
