China stuns S Korea to win Thomas Cup

WUHAN, China - China won its fifth successive Thomas Cup title after defeating South Korea 3-0 in the final on Sunday.

Top-ranked Lin Dan led the dominant Chinese performance when he beat Lee Hyun-il 21-14, 21-17. The South Korean pair of Lee Yong-dae and Kim Sa-rung fought hard in the second game but the Chinese pair of Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng kept their composure to win 21-16, 25-23.

Chen Long then needed just under an hour to wrap up the final with a 21-9, 21-13 win over Shon Wan-ho.
It was only the second Thomas Cup final for South Korea, which also lost the 2008 final to China.
