GUANGZHOU - German soccer giants Bayern Munich will make a pre-season trip to China in July and play two games in the country.
Munich said in a statement on their website on Friday that they will visit China July 22-27, with a match against a yet to be determined opponent set for July 24 in Beijing and another game against Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg on July 26 in Guangzhou.
It will be Munich's third trip to China, following games in 2000 and 2007.
Munich official Andreas Jung said that Munich's team will include the eight Germany players led by captain Philipp Lahm who reached the semi-finals at Euro 2012.
"We are delighted that we have the chance to present ourselves to our numerous fans in China," Jung told a news conference in Guangzhou.
The Bundesliga season starts in late August with Munich first playing at promoted Greuther Fuerth.
