HANOI - The third international women's volleyball tournament (LienVietPost Bank Cup 2013) will kick off in Vietnam's northern Bac Ninh province from May 26 to June 3, organizers announced on Tuesday.
Eight teams, with four domestic and four guest teams from China, Thailand and Sri Lanka will take part in the tournament, according to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
The eight teams will be divided into two groups. Group A sees China's Shandong, Sri Lanka, Vietnam's VTV Binh Dien-Long An and LienVietpostBank, while Group B comprises China's Sichuan, Thailand, Vietnam's Vietinbank and Vietsopetro.
Winners will be awarded a total cash prize worth $40,000, of which the champion will receive 15,000 dollars.
Last year, China's Liaoning team beat Vietnam's LienVietpostbank to win the trophy.
