Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world
Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world, is the largest town in the Klein Karoo region. Oudtshoorn is home to the world's largest ostrich population, with a number of specialized ostrich breeding farms, such as the Safari Show Farm and the Highgate Ostrich Show Farm.
Here, you could get as close as it's possible to ostrich and see their beautiful eyes; feed them and even watch jockeys racing them. Although ostrich weigh as much as 160 kg, they can run as fast as 70 km per hour.
