Zhang Yimou probed for possible violation

NANJING - Chinese director Zhang Yimou is being investigated for allegedly violating China's one-child policy, family planning authorities in the city of Wuxi, where Zhang's wife resides, said on Thursday.
The local family planning committee said it is working on an investigation report and will release the results soon.
Zhang, one of China's most recognized directors, has won several top film awards. He directed the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
