Beijing’s luxury bar Atmosphere, which has recently been ranked in the exclusive “Bars to Watch 2015” list by the judges of The World’s 50 Best Bars, will round out its series of guest mixologist events for 2015 with Josh Fontaine and Carina Tsou from the award-winning Candelaria in Paris.
Since last year, the bar atop the China World Summit Wing has welcomed four world-class cocktail gurus from bars that made the best-bar list. Candelaria has won international recognition for its exceptional drinks and service since the bar opened in 2011. It has been included in the World’s 50 Best Bars list for the past four years, ranking 12th on this year’s list.
Fontaine and Tsou, who are the owners of Candelaria, will host A French Reunion in Beijing with eight original cocktails from Nov 3 to 7, priced at 120 yuan ($19) per glass, subject to a 15 percent service charge.
During their stay, guests can enjoy eight creative concoctions from the original menu that put Candelaria on the global mixology map, including Rhum a la Mer, a bittersweet Campari-based creation mixed with Gosling’s Black Seal Rum, pineapple syrup, falernum, Fernet-Branca and absinthe, and Dolce Vita, a cocktail of refreshing botanical aromas with a combination of three spirits — barrel-aged Citadelle Gin Reserve, which has been infused with fragrant olive oil, citrusy Cocchi Americano, and La Quintinye vermouth.
