Tianjin will provide 200 vocational training packages for 50 professions in 2013, according to the Tianjin Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.
A report by Metro Express said that Tianjin took the lead in publishing the new standard for the “vocational training package”, a project designed to cultivate high-quality laborers and technicians. The new standard stressed promoting 200 vocational training packages for 50 occupations.
The training will target three groups of people — workers, vocational college students and unemployed people.
"It is estimated that 1 million people will receive training, including 200,000 high-level mechanics and 50,000 technicians. Eighty percent of the trained professionals will become employed”, said Yu Maodong, vice-director of the bureau.
