China Everbright Bank said its 2012 net profit was 23.6 billion yuan ($3.8 billion), up 30.74 percent or 5.6 billion yuan year-on-year.
According to the statement released late Tuesday, the bank's operating revenue was 59.8 billion yuan, up 29.78 percent year-on-year. Its operating profit was 31.5 billion yuan, up 30.74 percent on an annual basis.
The bank's total assets were at 2.3 trillion yuan at the end of last year, up 31.56 percent year-on-year.
A sharp increase in its bond investment business, the growth of its accounts receivable, and the increase of loans and deposits are the main reasons behind the fast growth of the total assets, the bank said.
