Construction giant Beijing Construction Engineering Group announced the opening of an office in Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital, to analyze investment projects in country's tourism infrastructure sector.
BCEG is one of the 10 largest construction companies in China with numerous civil works and infrastructure projects in the country and abroad. In 2011, BCEG signed contracts worth more than $3 billion.
China Development Bank has also expressed interest in studying investment projects in the tourism sector in Argentina, in line with BCEG. CDB already has a relationship with Argentina through the financing of investment projects in other sectors of the economy.
