Jan manufacturing PMI falls to 50.4%

BEIJING - China's Purchasing Managers' Index for manufacturing sector fell to 50.4 percent in January from 50.6 percent in December, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said Friday.
It was the fourth consecutive month that the PMI figure stayed above 50 percent, which demarcates expansion from contraction, according to a statement from the CFLP.
