'Skyfall' remains top at Chinese box office

BEIJING - "Skyfall" raked in 100 million yuan ($16.04 million) in the week ending Feb 3 dominating the Chinese box office, statistics from China Film News showed Tuesday.
Since its debut on Jan 21 in the Chinese mainland, total ticket sales of the latest installment in the James Bond series amount to 326 million yuan, according to the paper in a posting on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.
The highly-anticipated film "Cloud Atlas," which debuted in Chinese theaters on Thursday, was behind "Skyfall," with 73 million yuan.
"Roco Kingdom: the Desire of Dragon," a domestic animation came in third with 34 million yuan.
The top three movies accounted for more than 60 percent of entire ticket sales in the week.
