China Guangfa Bank and Mannings Retail Co, a health and beauty retail chain, have launched a joint credit card, offering discounts at Mannings stores.
The card will help Mannings, which does not issue membership cards on the Chinese mainland market, to better understand Chinese consumers, said Paul Sheldrake, the CEO of Mannings China.
A member of the Hong Kong-based Dairy Farm Group, which is a leading retail group in Asia, Mannings runs about 200 stores in more than 20 cities on the Chinese mainland.
CGB had issued more than 22 million credit cards by the end of last year.
