Provinces take measures to support poultry industry

A number of provinces in China, including Henan, Shandong and Guangxi provinces, have recently adopted measures to support local poultry industry which has suffered serious financial losses since the outbreak of bird flu early this year, according to a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture on its website on Friday.
According to the ministry, so far 10 provinces in China have implemented measures. These include subsidies to farmers and processing companies, the ministry said.
