Transactions in China's B2C (business to consumer) market hit 133.12 billion yuan ($21.67 billion) in Q1 this year, up 96.3 percent year-on-year, the techweb.com.cn reported on Monday.
Tmall increased from 37.78 percent to 48.5 percent of the B2C market, up 11 percentage points compared to the same period last year, according to the data released by the EnfoDesk.
In addition, transaction volumes for e-commerce company JD accounted for 17 percent of the B2C market, equaling last year's level, the report said.
Other e-commerce companies including Amazon, Dangdang and Gome online all increased slightly in the same period.
The sales of B2C market are expected to increase in the second quarter this year, during the busy summer season, EnfoDesk said.
