The fluctuation in the stock market is the result of a number of factors, including supply and demand of capital, investor expectations, market structure, and the international market, said Jiang Xiangyang, deputy director of the general office of the China Securities Regulatory Commission at a press conference in Shanghai on Tuesday.
As a legal regulatory organization, the commission will work to accelerate reform of the capital market, complete the market system, reinforce supervision, maintain market order and safeguard the legal interests of investors, Jiang said.
He also added that the commission will work to improve the market environment and boost confidence in the market, aiming at a sound development of the capital market.
