New water park makes splash in Shanghai

A large-scale water park opened to tourists at Shanghai Sheshan on Saturday.
Playa Maya offers 12 attractions and can accommodate 15,000 tourists daily, said Wang Dansheng, deputy general manager of Shanghai Happy Valley.
Playa Maya is a complement to the Happy Valley theme park under the same company OCT Group.
The complex has received about 10 million tourists over the past four years.
"The attractions, such as Caribbean Beach, Octopus Racer, Behemoth Bowl and Super Abyss, will leave an unforgettable impression on visitors," Wang said.
Playa Maya has 21,000 cubic meters of water over 120,000 square meters.
