Henan unveils airport economic zone to spur central growth

The launching ceremony of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Experimental Zone, the first national-level airport economic zone in China, was held Wednesday in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.
According to the State Council, the zone aims to upgrade the country's airfreight framework and boost the airport economy in a bid to push forward urbanization, industrialization and agricultural modernization in Central China.
The experimental zone was officially approved by the State Council on March 7.
