Gold price closes higher in Hong Kong -- Oct 8

HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong moved up HK$100 to close at HK$12,290 per tael on Tuesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,331.16 a troy ounce, up $10.83 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.76.
