Liaoning's agro exports hits $3.31b

Agricultural product exports from Liaoning province were $3.31 billion in the first eight months of 2013, up 10 percent year-on-year, according to the local government.
In the past eight months, the total export trade volume of marine products of the province was $1.54 billion, an increase of 5.9 percent from last year and accounting for 46.5 percent of the total amount of its agricultural exports. The total food export trade volume was $450 million, up 14.5 percent year-on-year. Vegetables export trade volume was $160 million.
Among the export enterprises, private enterprises contributed the most to the growth. Agricultural product exports from the province's private companies has reached 1.79 billion with a growth of 18.9 percent, accounting for 54.1 percent of the total.
