White spirit inventories rise

The inventories of 14 listed enterprises involved in the white spirits industry reached 35.6 billion yuan ($5.84 billion) in the third quarter, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.61 percent.
The 14 listed companies generated 5.72 billion yuan in revenue in the third quarter, a decline of 12.25 percent compared to the same period last year. And net profits for the 14 fell 50.89 percent year-on-year to 8.44 trillion yuan.
Among the 14 white spirits companies, Kweichou Moutai Group held the largest quantity of stock. During the period, its inventories reached 10.69 billion yuan, in comparison with 7.89 billion yuan for the same period a year earlier, according to statistics.
