BMW-Brilliance and BMW China's joint recalls
Number of vehicles: 232,098 from June 18, and 134,180 from Oct 30.

BMW China and BMW Brilliance Automotive jointly started from June 18 a recall of 232,098 imported and locally produced cars due to engine problems. Of the vehicles due for inspection, around 93,000 were 3-series and 5-series produced in Sino-German joint venture between BMW andpartner Brilliance China Automotive Holdings.
From Oct 30, the two companies jointly started another recall of 134,180 vehicles due to fuel leak problems. Of the total, 68,090 vehicles are BMW China imported BMW 5, 6 series and X5, X6 models, produced between March in 2007 and June in 2011.The recall also involved 66,090 units of BMW 5 series produced by BMW Brilliance between March in 2010 and October in 2011. The vehicles contain flawed fuel pumps, which may break and cause fuel leaks.
