Palace Museum announces catalog of 18 categories
The Palace Museum announced the catalog of 18 categories of its collection on Jan 1.
As of 2010, there were 25 categories of 1,807,558 cultural relics kept at the Palace Museum — 1,684,490 of which are valuable objects, according to the museum’s website.
The 18 categories are bronze wares, gold and silver wares, enamel wares, jade wares, sculptures, embroideries, carving craftsmanship, other craftsmanship, stationeries, daily objects, clocks and watches, rare treasures, religious objects, ritual objects, emperor and empress title books, inscriptions, foreign cultural relics and others.
The other seven categories will be announced at a later date.
