Missing county official turns herself in

An official with the audit office of Yongxiu county, Jiangxi province, who had disappeared for more than 20 days, turned herself in and has been detained, local authorities said.
According to a China News Service report, Zou Lei, former deputy director of the county’s audit office, turned herself in to police on Thursday.
An earlier statement released by the Yongxiu county publicity department said that police had received reports that Lei had misappropriated 1.11 million yuan ($176,175) and that she left her post without notification on Dec 8.
Further investigations are ongoing.
