Senior police officer commits suicide in S China

A senior police officer committed suicide in the Guangdong provincial capital on Jan 8, according to a statement from the website of Guangzhou city bureau of public security.
Qi Xiaolin, 55, deputy Party chief and vice-director of the Guangzhou city bureau of public security, killed himself at around 6 pm.
But the statement which was published on Wednesday did not reveal where and how Qi ended his life.
The statement said Qi suffered from depression and some other diseases before he died.
Qi was mainly in charge of internal security, traffic police and the public security bureau's metro branch.
