The 2013 Cross-Straits Micro Film Competition, an important component of the 2013 Fujian Marine Tourism Carnival, which promotes Fujian province's marine attractions, is now accepting submissions from mainland and Taiwan filmmakers to its official website (http://www.csmff.com) through May 31.
Organized by the Fujian Tourism Bureau, the competition aims to create a new business card for the province by combing modern storytelling with the province's traditional marine tourism resources.
The submissions will be put up for online public vote. Ten award categories, including Best Director and Best Picture, will be handed out .
Micro films are short shows made to be played on new media, such as video websites and cell phones.
