Guangzhou People's Congress session set for Jan 19-23

The annual session of the Guangzhou People's Congress is scheduled for Jan 19-23, sources with the event's preparatory office said.
Deputies to the congress will examine the draft of the local economic and social development plan and the 2013 budget, the office said.
Two press conferences will be held during the session, in which Guangzhou mayor Chen Jianhua and the heads and directors of various government departments will answer questions related to the city's social and economic development.
