BEIJING - A spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry on Monday called for concerted efforts by all parties to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
Asked to comment on reports in media in the Republic of Korea that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is planning a nuclear test, Hong Lei said peace and stability on the peninsula is in the interests of all parties. All sides should abide by the agreements reached in the joint statement signed on Sept 19, 2005.
