CHANGCHUN - Nine people were killed, 28 others injured and one remains missing in a carbon monoxide poisoning accident at a gold mine in Northeast China's Jilin province, local authorities said Tuesday.
The accident happened at about 4 am Tuesday morning at a gold mine in the city of Huadian, according to the city's publicity department.
The condition of the injured people is unknown.
