Emergency vehicles may not use their sirens unless they are dealing with emergencies, the Ministry of Public Security said.
According to a statement from the ministry on Jan 15, the police will help those vehicles — including ambulances, fire engines and project emergency cars — deal with emergencies.
Police cars will help clear the way for these vehicles, and special traffic controls will be put into place to ensure traffic is clear for emergency cars, the statement said.
Those who block emergency lanes will be punished.
