Family members of a woman who died of a cerebral hemorrhage after a Caesarean section organized a group protest on Friday in the hospital that failed to save her life, cnhubei.com, a news portal of the province, reported on Sunday.
On Jan 12 Li Liuli, 27, had a Caesarean section in Chinese Medicine Hospital, in Jianli county, in Central China's Hubei province.
She had a cerebral hemorrhage and was transferred to Jianli County People's Hospital, where she died on Jan 17.
The next day family members organized a group of more than 60 people to carry the woman's body from the morgue inside the hospital and display it in the hall.
They put up a sign by the hospital, claiming "quacks" took away the child's mother.
Pictures posted on Sina Weibo, China's version of Twitter, show a large number of people gathered around an overturned police car and a woman grappling with a policeman in the car.
Local police took away the leaders of the group and transferred the body to a funeral home. No further details have been disclosed.
