Magicians may get a college diploma in the future, if a cooperation project between Beijing's Changping district and Beijing Film Academy's College of Continued Education works out.
The Beijing News reported on Monday that the two have reached an initial agreement to add magic as a major for the college's students.
The move is part of Changping district's plans to build itself into the capital of magic in China.
The district government said that the future national circus will also be located in the district, and it is planning to add an optional course teaching magic tricks to the district's primary schools.
